1965 Shelby 427 Cobra

.

This is a 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra, CSX3009, built from the Monogram kit. This is said to be "the winningest Cobra ever", first campaigned by Skip Scott and Dr. Dick Thompson, and raced well into the 70's by Sam Fienstien. This car, like CSX3008, is one of the few cars that left the Shelby American facilities as a full competition roadster, not an S/C converted into a racecar. Modifications include working steering, toggle switches on the dash panel, and a slight lowering of the suspension. Color is Tamiya TS-26 Pure White, and TS29 Semi-Gloss Black for the interior. All decals are from the kit.
