The Quarantined Email List
Quarantined email list

This is the page where you choose what emails to recieve in your inbox, addresses to whitelist (always allow) and blacklist (always block), simply delete mail(s) from the list, and, most importantly, where your teach the Barracuda what you consider spam.

Notes: Checking the Date Recieved box puts a check by every mail in the list, so any action chosen will then be applied to all mails.
The Deliver Whitelist Delete links next to each mail will act only upon that one email.
The filter box is explained at the end of this section.

This is what we have found works well to sort through the list of emails and is just a suggestion. As you work with your own lists, you will find what sequence works best for you.

Go throught the entire list, looking for emails from people whose mail you always want to recieve. Click the Whitelist beside each of these to add the address to your Whitelist. (be careful - all emails from the whitelisted addresses will be delivered to your inbox)

Next, go through the list, putting a check in the box to the left of mails you want delivered but didn't want to add to your whitelist. Click the Deliver at the top left, and those emails are delivered to your inbox. (But the address is not added to your whitelist)

That leaves the rest as spam, so click the top left box "Date Recieved" box which adds a check to ALL the remaining emails. Then click the "Delete" button, and all are deleted from your list.

OPTIONAL:
The "Classify as Not Spam" and "Classify as Spam" buttons at the top center of the list
It is not necessary to use these, as the regular filtering should do a good job for you. However, if you do use these to classify the messages in the quarantine, then it will train an additional filter known as a Bayesian network filter, for your specific tastes. The Bayesian filter won't kick in until it sees that you have classified 200 messages as "Spam" and 200 messages as "Not Spam".

The Filter Box
Using the Filter Box

The Filter Box allows you to adjust the list to show only those emails that meet your criteria, useful when you have many emails in the list.

Choose the appropriate filter (From contains, Subject contains, or Message contains), then type what word you are looking for in the Pattern box, then click the "Apply Filter" button.
Only those emails matching your selections will appear in the email list.

Don't forget that the other emails are still there, just hidden to make your search easier. Reset the Filter Box to None to show all.
