The Barracuda is a new server, recently acquired at Crystal Wind to fight SPAM (unwanted, unsolicited emails) and email viruses and worms. This unit screens all incoming email, and checks it before it even gets to your inbox. There are 2 ways to access your quarantined email on the Barracuda: via the email it sends you and by using your web browser to actually go in to your account on the Barracuda. (If you click the bottom link in the Barracuda email "To view your entire quarantine inbox or manage your preferences, click here." you will be taken to your live Barracuda account page.) We recommend using your web browser, such as Internet Explorer, to access your quarantined e-mails because you are actually in your account, and any selections/changes you make will be seen as the web page redraws. While changes do take place in the Barracuda Spam Firewall when clicking your selections in the Barracuda email, you cannot see the changes in the e-mail message itself. Since it is just that - email - and it does not redraw to reflect your changes. However, if do you manage your quarantined email via the Barracuda e-mail, the methods are the same. Clicking on the "Deliver", "Whitelist" or "Delete" links in the Quarantine Summary e-mail message will cause your web browser to be started up and to automatically log you in to the web-based Quarantine Inbox. You'll see the web page redraw in response to your decisions. Just remember that when you log out of the web interface, and return to the Quarantine Summary e-mail, it will still look like it did before you made any changes. You won't be able to actually see the changes to the e-mailed Quarantine Summary message list. You can access your account from our homepage, www.xtalwind.net, by clicking
